Are you ready to RISE?

The RISE Institute for Compounding awards scholarships to support pharmacy students pursuing education and training in compounding pharmacy. Scholarships are intended to increase access to high-quality learning opportunities that strengthen compounding practice, patient care, and the future of the profession.

Scholarships are competitive and discretionary. Submission of an application does not guarantee funding. All awards are made under an objective, nondiscriminatory selection process and at the sole discretion of RISE Institute for Compounding.

Applicant must be a current student enrolled in an accredited Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) program.

Employees, board members, key donors of RISE, and their immediate family members are generally not eligible to apply. Any exception requires independent Board review and documentation.

Scholarships may be used only for programs approved by RISE Institute for Compounding.

Applicants do not apply to a pre-approved list. Instead, program approval is evaluated as part of the scholarship application based on the specific course identified by the applicant.

Applicants must list the exact course or training they plan to take. Approval applies only to that course and does not constitute approval or endorsement of the provider as a whole.

Programs must demonstrate:

• Direct relevance to compounding pharmacy

• Alignment with recognized compounding standards and best practices

• Qualified instructors or faculty

• Clearly defined costs, requirements, and learning outcomes

• Compliance with applicable regulatory and professional requirements

RISE does not recommend or endorse any provider.

If selected as a recipient, the student will receive a scholarship award determined by available funding and the cost of the approved education or training program. The standard maximum award is up to $2,000 per recipient per year, subject to the Board-approved scholarship budget.

Awards are generally one-time per year. Multi-term awards may be approved for longer programs, contingent on continued eligibility, satisfactory progress, and submission of required reports.

Scholarships are intended to support education and training related to compounding pharmacy for students enrolled in accredited Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) programs.

All applicants will be notified of award decisions in May 2026.

Notifications are sent via email. Applicants are encouraged to use an active, personal email address that they will continue to have access to and to ensure that messages from RISE are not filtered as spam.

Applicants who are not selected may receive a general notification but will not receive individual scoring feedback.

RISE Institute for Compounding processes scholarship payments directly.

Payment is preferred to be made directly to the approved program provider upon receipt of proof of enrollment and required documentation. In limited circumstances, reimbursement to the student or advance payment may be approved with prior written authorization.

Approved payments are typically processed within 15 to 30 business days after all required documentation is received and verified.

Scholarship recipients are selected through a competitive review process conducted by the RISE Scholarship Committee.

Applications are evaluated based on:

• Alignment of the requested training with compounding pharmacy and RISE’s mission

• Commitment to learning and professional growth

• Leadership potential, service, or engagement

• Strength and clarity of the personal statement

Not all applicants will be selected. All applicants agree to accept the scholarship decision as final.

As part of the application, applicants must submit the following electronically:

• A completed online application

• Program or course details, including cost information

• A statement of purpose

• A resume or CV

• Academic documentation (transcript or equivalent), as applicable

• Disclosure of other financial aid received or anticipated for the requested course

Additional documentation, including proof of enrollment, may be required prior to disbursement.
